富士山は新年に向けて描いていただいた。日本一の山、９０歳を越えた方々にとって、長い年月を重ねた山。
富士山に戦争体験を重ねた方もいらっしゃった。富士山には畏怖の念を抱き、丁寧に描かれる方も多く、時間いっぱい使って描かれていた。
Mount Fuji was painted in preparation for the New Year. Japan’s highest mountain, a mountain that has endured through the long years for those over ninety.
Some who painted Mount Fuji had lived through the war. Many approached the mountain with reverence, painting it with great care, taking their time to complete their work.
