桜は春になったら描かずにはいられないもの、日本人のこころの故郷である。みなさんの心に鮮やかに咲く桜の花、それは春が来るたびに待ちわびた景色であり、思い出だ。
桜の表現は人それぞれ、花を描く方、菜の花や富士山と描く方、１本を大きく描かれる方、夢中になって描くのが桜。
自由に手を動かしていただくように、画材はパステルを選んだ。
Cherry blossoms are something one simply cannot resist painting when spring arrives; they are the homeland of the Japanese heart. The vividly blooming cherry blossoms in your hearts are the long-awaited sight and memories that return each spring.
The expression of cherry blossoms varies from person to person: some paint the flowers themselves, others depict them alongside rapeseed blossoms or Mount Fuji, while some paint a single tree large. Cherry blossoms are what one becomes utterly absorbed in painting.
To encourage you to move your hands freely, pastels were chosen as the medium.
